I was worried I didn't have his exact quote from his September article, but he basically made the same argument by talking about options.

@Anon - Careful, you're solidifying in some minds that Gold is a religion with such comments ;)

@Frustrated - I find it crazy that these MMT or MR types explain away the debt by suggesting it doesn't matter when it's issued in their own currency... as Bron alludes it's like they think we live in a world where human perception and behaviour has no real impact on the monetary system.Bullion Baronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10326839149017875755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6089228851855763774.post-64831998324774522282014-12-16T23:24:14.795+08:002014-12-16T23:24:14.795+08:00Bron,

The German central bank just was just dragging it's heels.

Since then I keep coming to see the reasoned balanced thoughts in your articles.

I farm and carry Hail insurance every year. I've seen crops wiped out in 1/2 an hour. I carry wind and fire insurance, I've also seen whole farm sites blown flat.

Gold is like grain in the bin.

Best Regards

Farmer DUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14418373547811275354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6089228851855763774.post-34607669719119921542014-12-16T19:19:25.729+08:002014-12-16T19:19:25.729+08:00Bron

And yet the PHD economists and Cullen Roches of the world continue to have confidence that the predicament these countries are in is temporary.

Beats me. And yet I continue to hold gold. My accounting background and spider sense continue to tell me this will not end well.

So when will I sell my gold? I never really had a set plan. I just figured if kept watch of world events I would just know the right time for me. Although I though I was getting close but apparently you can print money ad infinitum and this makes gold worth less. So I continue to watch and exit.

And before anyone attacks me on opportunity cost I am very aware and understand it fully but I was never trading gold. It was insurance.
Frustratednoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6089228851855763774.post-8493248877042216072014-12-16T18:04:27.351+08:002014-12-16T18:04:27.351+08:00Amen, BronAmen, BronAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
